Our client is seeking a skilled HR Specialist to support their I-9 Compliance function on a contract basis. This role will focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance in employee documentation, supporting audits, and driving process improvements.

In this role, you will:Conduct comprehensive reviews of current I-9 compliance processes.Audit and update employee records with precision and strict confidentiality.Extract and analyze data from multiple HR systems using Microsoft Excel.Provide clear and timely project updates through verbal communication, written reports, and PowerPoint presentations.Draft internal communications for manager-level stakeholders and employees.Monitor remediation activities, track progress, and follow up on outstanding items.Partner with HR Business Partners, Managers, and the HR Compliance team to deliver exceptional support. What We’re Looking For:Must Have:3+ years of experience working with I-9 documentation and compliance practices.3+ years in human resources, compliance, or a related field.Experience handling employee file management and employment eligibility forms.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, lookups, and reporting).Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong attention to confidentiality, data security, and compliance standards.Self-starter with a high level of reliability and attention to detail.Ability to learn new HR systems and technology quickly.Nice to Have:Hands-on experience with electronic I-9 or verification platforms such as E-Verify or Equifax.Ability to create documentation, reference guides, or training decks using MS Office tools.Familiarity with project coordination or change management principles.
