Job Description

This is a remote position.

Embrace EdTech Group powers some of the most innovative education technology solutions in North America, with a focus on enhancing college and career readiness for students across K–12 and post secondary institutions.We are hiring a Sales Operations & Inside Sales Specialist to support growth across our North American EdTech portfolio. This role is critical to generating qualified pipeline, maintaining sales discipline, and ensuring predictable execution across multiple portfolio companies.You will be responsible for lead generation and qualification, closing smaller transactional deals, managing renewals, and owning CRM accuracy and reporting. You will work closely with the Senior Sales Director, whose focus is on large enterprise and strategic opportunities.This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role ideal for someone early-to-mid career who enjoys outbound activity, structure, follow-up, and closing business efficiently in a recurring-revenue SaaS environment — without people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & QualificationProactively generate leads through outbound outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events, webinars).Qualify inbound and outbound leads using structured criteria (MEDDIC-lite).Disqualify low-quality or non-actionable leads early.Book and prepare qualified meetings for the Senior Sales Director.Maintain accurate pipeline stages, notes, and follow-up cadences in the CRM.

Inside Sales & Small Deal OwnershipOwn and close smaller, transactional deals (typically <$15k ARR).Manage short-cycle opportunities, add-on modules, and entry-level accounts.Support pricing, proposals, and contract coordination.Renewals & Back-to-Base RevenueSupport and manage renewals for assigned accounts across the portfolio.Proactively engage customers ahead of renewal dates.Identify light upsell and expansion opportunities.Coordinate with support and product teams to reduce churn risk.

Sales Operations & CRM OwnershipMaintain CRM accuracy, hygiene, and structure (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, NetSuite CRM, or similar).Keep opportunity data, activities, and contacts up to date.Support dashboards and reports (pipeline, forecast, renewals, win/loss).Assist with weekly and monthly sales reporting.

Sales Process SupportFollow and reinforce established sales processes and documentation standards.Support RFP/RFQ coordination and timelines.Assist with onboarding and enablement tasks as needed.Contribute ideas to improve sales workflows and efficiency.

Requirements

Required2–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS inside sales, sales operations, or account support.Experience generating and qualifying leads for senior sales leaders.Experience closing smaller, transactional deals or supporting deal execution.Experience working with a CRM system.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment.Clear written and verbal communication skills.PreferredExperience in EdTech, Higher Education, or Public Sector SaaS.Familiarity with structured sales qualification frameworks ( MEDDIC-lite).Experience supporting renewals or recurring revenue businesses.
