About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Events Specialist to join our team at Cohere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine event management expertise with the dynamic world of artificial intelligence. As a key player in our marketing team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of international events that enhance our brand visibility, engage our target audience, and generate valuable leads. Your efforts will directly contribute to our business growth through strategic event planning, collaboration with internal teams, and effective stakeholder engagement. You will manage industry conferences, workshops, executive dinners, product launches, hackathons, speaking engagements, and networking sessions, ensuring each event aligns with our overall marketing objectives and reflects Cohere’s innovative spirit.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in event management within the technology or software development sectorBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or a diploma in event managementProficiency in marketing automation platforms such as Marketo and SalesforceStrong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneouslyExceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to travel up to 20%, including international travel, with a valid passport and necessary travel documentsPhysical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs for event setup and materials handlingFlexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends, as required by event schedulesExperience in social media management, content creation, and promotional campaign coordination

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive event plans, including budgeting, venue selection, logistics, and promotional activitiesSource, negotiate, and manage external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of servicesHandle event registration processes, attendee communications, and guest list managementCoordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for speakers, sponsors, and internal staff, including international logisticsOversee onsite event setup, including audiovisual requirements, staging, and branding materialsManage pre- and post-event communications, including invitations, reminders, and follow-up emailsUtilize tools like Marketo and Salesforce to monitor event performance, track attendance, gather feedback, and analyze data for success metricsCreate and manage content for social media platforms and the company website related to upcoming and past eventsCoordinate marketing activities such as email campaigns, social media promotions, and partner collaborations to maximize event reachCollaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing event campaign assets aligned with brand standardsDistribute marketing collateral and promotional materials across relevant channels and partnersStay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies to enhance campaign effectivenessMaintain organized records of budgets, invoices, and administrative tasks related to event management
