About The Role

The Marketing Manager at Aramark will play a vital role in supporting our client, the University of Hartford - Hospitality Services, by spearheading product innovation, merchandising, and promotional activities. This position acts as a bridge between Aramark’s marketing team and the university’s various locations, ensuring that client expectations and consumer needs are met effectively while maintaining adherence to Aramark’s high standards. The role requires a strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of developing and executing marketing initiatives that drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster strong relationships within the campus community. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for conducting market research, planning innovative campaigns, supporting sales efforts, and managing public relations and digital marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in product marketing, merchandising, or related fields.Proven leadership skills with at least 2-3 years of managing direct reports.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.Demonstrated success in increasing sales and measuring return on investment for marketing initiatives.Proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities creatively and assertively.Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation, public speaking, and client engagement abilities.Proficiency in social media platforms and MS Office suite for effective communication and project management.Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel as required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive marketing research, including focus groups, surveys, trend analysis, campus mapping, and competitive pricing evaluations to inform strategic decisions.Develop and implement innovative marketing plans and strategies aimed at promoting existing locations and launching new initiatives to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.Support sales efforts by creating and executing annual marketing campaigns, preparing engaging presentations for various target groups, and assisting with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, sales presentations, and Client Business Reviews (CBRs).Coordinate and execute special events, promotional activities, and marketing collateral to enhance brand visibility and engagement.Manage media interactions, public relations, website updates, and social media marketing to maintain a strong online presence and foster positive community relations.Build and nurture relationships with clients, university department heads, community groups, and internal teams to ensure alignment and collaborative success.
