The Role

We're seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to lead the modernization of our e-commerce data infrastructure. This critical role focuses on building real-time integrations between our NetSuite ERP and Shopify Plus e-commerce platform using the Celigo iPaaS. You'll design and implement event-driven integration flows that eliminate overselling, accelerate order processing, and provide real-time data synchronization across our core business systems. This role is essential to decommissioning our legacy middleware and establishing a modern, scalable integration architecture. This is hands-on integration development work. You'll spend 80% of your time building Celigo flows, 15% writing NetSuite customizations, and 5% configuring Shopify APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build event-driven integration flows in Celigo for real-time inventory synchronization between NetSuite and ShopifyDevelop bidirectional order sync integrations to push Shopify orders into NetSuite for fulfillment and financial reconciliationImplement complex data transformation and mapping logic to ensure data integrity across systemsBuild error handling, retry logic, and idempotency controls for mission-critical data flowsConfigure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enable proactive issue detectionWrite SuiteScript 2.0 code to implement validation rules, custom workflows, and import processing logicDevelop RESTlets and custom endpoints to support integration requirementsDesign and implement data integrity controls within NetSuite's import workflowsConfigure Shopify webhooks for inventory updates, order creation, and customer data changesIntegrate with Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs for product, inventory, and order managementImplement proper webhook handling with authentication, validation, and idempotencyConduct technical audits to identify all integration points requiring migrationDocument integration architecture, data flows, and operational runbooksImplement comprehensive observability (monitoring, alerting, logging) for all integration flowsConduct integration testing, performance testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordinationCreate technical documentation and train operations teams on new workflows

Required Skills

3+ years of hands-on experience building production integration flows in Celigo iPaaSDeep knowledge of Celigo's connectors, flow builder, mapping tools, and error handling capabilities3+ years of NetSuite development experience with strong SuiteScript 2.0 skillsHands-on experience building RESTlets, scheduled scripts, user event scripts, and workflowsDeep understanding of NetSuite data model (customers, items, sales orders, inventory, locations)Knowledge of NetSuite's role-based permissions, saved searches, and customization framework2+ years working with Shopify APIs (REST, GraphQL, Admin API, Storefront API)Experience configuring and consuming Shopify webhooks for real-time eventsUnderstanding of Shopify data model (products, variants, inventory, orders, customers, fulfillments)Knowledge of Shopify Plus features and API differences from standard ShopifyStrong understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time data synchronizationExperience designing robust error handling, retry logic, and dead letter queue patternsKnowledge of idempotency, eventual consistency, and distributed system challengesAbility to design data validation rules and integrity controlsUnderstanding of API design principles, RESTful patterns, and webhook best practicesExperience with integration monitoring, observability, and alerting strategiesA good understanding of e-commerce workflows: inventory management, order fulfillment, returns processing
