About The Role
We are seeking an energetic and people-focused Driver Recruiter to join our team in Perryville, MO. This in-office position is vital to our ongoing success, serving as the first point of contact for prospective CDL drivers. The Driver Recruiter will play a key role in attracting, screening, and onboarding top-tier regional and over-the-road drivers who meet our safety standards and align with our company culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for connecting with people. You will work closely with various departments to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process, contributing directly to the growth and sustainability of our driver team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in trucking, recruiting, or logistics, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging candidates effectively. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are necessary to manage multiple recruitment processes efficiently. Comfort with using recruiting platforms, email, and CRM/ATS tools is required to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is crucial. Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry standards is a plus, enhancing your ability to identify qualified drivers and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
Source and screen qualified CDL A driver candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networks.Manage the entire recruitment process, including posting job openings, conducting interviews, running background checks, and facilitating pre-employment requirements.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within applicant tracking systems to ensure a smooth recruitment workflow.Build and nurture strong relationships with drivers from the initial contact through orientation and ongoing engagement.Coordinate with Safety and Operations departments to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new drivers.Monitor industry trends and adjust recruiting strategies to remain competitive and attract top talent.
