Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to join our team as a full-time contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and verifying bugs in web and mobile applications. This role requires strong analytical skills and excellent written communication, with an emphasis on high-quality bug reporting using reproducible steps, supporting assets (videos, HAR files), and clear documentation of expected behavior.

Responsibilities

Execute test cases on web and/or mobile platforms to identify bugs or usability issues.Write detailed, high-quality bug reports that include reproduction steps, actual vs expected behavior, relevant logs, screenshots, and HAR files.Record and upload video captures of defects when appropriate to provide visual context.Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to validate fixes and verify system behavior.Document and maintain up-to-date test results and expected outcomes.Participate in team standups and sprint planning meetings as needed.Contribute to improving QA documentation and test case coverage over time.

Requirements

2+ years of manual QA experience, preferably in an Agile environment.Proficiency in documenting bugs clearly with reproducible steps and supporting assets.Experience capturing and analyzing HAR files, browser console logs, and screen recordings.Familiarity with test case management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).Strong written English communication skills.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setup.Reliable internet connection and the ability to overlap at least 4 hours with U.S. business hours (Pacific or Eastern Time).
