About The Role

As an E-commerce Front End Developer at Cognizant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all e-commerce front-end development initiatives. You will play a vital role in shaping the user experience and ensuring the seamless functionality of our online platforms. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with management, cross-functional teams, clients, and third-party vendors to deliver innovative and high-quality e-commerce solutions.

Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing UI issues, guiding UI/UX development, and driving continuous improvement of the customer journey. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead design projects, mentor team members, and influence the overall digital commerce experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in front-end developmentProficiency in React.js and Next.js, including Hooks, Redux, and SagaExperience with Node.js, CMS component integration, API consumption, SSR/CSR rendering, middleware, and loggingStrong knowledge of Git, SourceTree, deployment processes, Postman, and unit testing with JESTExpertise in responsive UI development using Bootstrap CSS framework (MDB library) with cross-browser compatibilityDeep understanding of eCommerce platforms and commercial offeringsKnowledge of UI design principles, responsive development, and frontend architectureOptional experience with SEO, Google Tag Manager, and A/B testing methodologiesExcellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to lead UI/UX development efforts and mentor team members effectively

Responsibilities

Analyze UI issues, identify root causes, and develop actionable solutionsConduct code reviews and facilitate regular meetings with offshore teamsEstimate UI development efforts and plan project timelines accordinglyProvide guidance on UX/UI development approaches to the UI teamCollaborate with client teams, design, backend, and frontend development teams to ensure project alignmentCoordinate with all partners and vendors to meet business objectivesLead user experience and design projects, including creating information architecture, wireframes, personas, and user journeys for direct-to-consumer platformsEstablish and communicate effective design processes based on Design Thinking and user-centered design best practicesIncorporate customer feedback to maintain design excellence across the eCommerce platformWork in partnership with third-party agencies to iteratively improve user interaction and experience throughout the website development lifecycleDiagnose and resolve conversion challenges collaboratively with external agencies and development teamsProvide technical guidance and support during project execution, especially on complex technical issuesMaintain excellent communication with clients and internal teams to ensure project clarity and success
