About The Role
HAYS is partnering with a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst. This newly established role is critical to the company's strategic financial planning and analysis functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and timeliness of financial data, enabling more informed decision-making across the organization. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will lead key processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling. The role involves delivering insightful reports using tools like Microsoft Dynamics BC and Power BI, as well as collaborating closely with various stakeholders to develop new data-driven processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization with long-term growth prospects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with a strong background in financial analysis and modelling. Extensive experience in commercial finance, data analysis, and financial systems is essential. Proficiency in Excel, along with familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Power BI, is required to succeed in this role. The candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively. Living within a reasonable commute of Lincoln is preferred, as the role is predominantly office-based with a requirement of 3-4 days in the office each week.
Responsibilities
Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario analysis.Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team, highlighting key insights and trends.Support re-forecasting activities and update financial forecasts based on latest data and business developments.Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and improve reporting processes.
Utilize Microsoft Dynamics BC and Power BI to generate impactful dashboards and reports.Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial reporting and planning functions.Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management.
