Join our compassionate community and become a volunteer Crisis Line Responder with the Vancouver Island Crisis Society!</p> <p>Our comprehensive six-week training program equips you with the tools to provide support to those in crisis. We are proud to be accredited by the American Association of Suicidology, ensuring you receive the highest standard of training.</p> <p>This role is ideal for dedicated individuals passionate about helping others and making a difference. You’ll provide the same level of care as our staff responders, supporting Service Users across our network of Crisis Line Numbers.</p> <p>Important: This role involves supporting people in crisis, including those experiencing suicidal thoughts. It requires emotional resilience, active listening skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.</p> <p>Steps to Apply</p> <p>Email resume to info@vicrisis.ca Participate in a friendly interview. Attend an Observation Shift in our Call Centre to see our work in action. Complete a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and a Reference Check.
