Job Description

As a Retail Account Manager, you will have a direct impact on company revenue by partnering with and growing key strategic accounts in North America. You will partner closely with all areas of the company, including Marketing, Operations, Creative, and Digital to create and execute growth strategies for the profession and retail channel. This role requires creative problem-solving, strong communication skills, demonstrated analytical skills, and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate has an interest in the beauty industry with a proven track record of sales success with national distributors and retailers. Responsibilities

Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated accounts, responding to any communication in a timely manner. In partnership with the accounts, ideate and secure marketing and sales programs to support the brand objectives across online and brick & mortar channels.Create and execute an annual plan for each account, comprehensive of all key launches, major marketing moments, paid advertising, sampling, and secondary space opportunities. Lead seasonal presentations on product newness and regular strategy planning meetings. Lead the paid advertising strategy for select retailer accounts, including budget management, identifying product focuses, and working with cross-functional teams on all assets. Lead in-store assortment updates and assortment selection to maximize productivity and brand performance. Monitor ROI on all ongoing marketing and promotional initiatives and provide recommendations for future strategies. Analyze sell-through on a weekly and monthly basis, reporting on brand performance including innovation results, SKU rankings, productivity, promotional performance, and competitive analysis. Monitor and analyze purchases compared to company budgets and provide guidance for risks and opportunities. In partnership with the VP of Sales, monitor and manage customer budgets throughout the year, ensuring we are staying on target. In partnership with leadership, set annual budgets for accounts, including sales targets and marketing spend. Complete all requested set up and pitch forms in a timely manner. Attend periodic trade shows and in-person education events to support account selling. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating show logistics, determining education focus, partnering with creative on booth design and theme, and interacting with attendees at the event. Represent and advocate for account needs with internal cross-functional partners in marketing, creative, social, and operations. Provide clear communication, candidate will serve as the bridge between account departments, syncing our store and field strategy. Monitor market trends, the competitive landscape, and account opportunities to develop strategies to grow revenue and market share within assigned accounts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience3-5 years of experience working with national salon distributor or retail accountsExperience working with BSG / CosmoprofExperience working with Sephora, Macy’s, or Beauty Space is a plus but not required A strong interest and experience working within the beauty industryA strong collaborator who can work effectively with key internal and external partnersAbility to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships and gain the trust and respect of cross-functional teams and external partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple ongoing projects and deadlinesStrong demonstrated analytical skills, including proficiency with forecasting and sales analysisSelf-starter, results-oriented, with a can-do attitudeProficient in Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Travel: 15-25%%
